i feel like college was someone’s idea as like a joke and then they decided to take it too far and then everyone started thinking they were serious and it just got out of control

like “hahahahahaha let’s make kids pay thousands of dollars for an education where they end up sleep deprived, manic depressive, anxious and concerned about getting a job they’ll end up hating anyway hahahahahaha oh teenagers will do the darndest things”
